McKenna is a current student at Keiser University, in a master’s program for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is approaching her final year of school and looks forward to continuing her experience and learning with Counselors Associates Ltd. McKenna has spent a few years working in the related field of applied behavior analysis as a registered behavior technician working with children who have an autism spectrum diagnosis. McKenna believes that mental health is just as important as physical health, therapy provides the means to create a healthy mindset. What McKenna values in a therapeutic alliance is trust and empathy. Those two values are key to creating a safe place to guide functional change.
