Counselors Associates Ltd, founded in 2010, is a large-scale private psychotherapy group practice specializing in psychotherapy and psychiatric medication management. We currently have offices in Illinois and Missouri. We are always working to expand our reach.
Counselors Associates Ltd is an organization consisting of an exemplary group of licensed, experienced counseling professionals offering mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couples, family, and group settings.
Our goal is to help others achieve balance and health in order to live the fullest life possible. We know that people who have high emotional intelligence live healthier and more fulfilling lives. These individuals also have better relationships and are more effective and productive in the workplace and all areas of life. Our job at Counselors Associates Ltd is to help people explore and gain a better understanding of their emotions to achieve high emotional intellect. We are here to help.
One of the many tools we use includes the “Ruler Method”, developed by Dr. Marc Brackett of Yale University. With this method we teach people to: 1. recognize their emotions, 2. understand where emotions come from, 3. find the cause of their emotions, 4. find the consequences of their emotions, 5. help them label their emotions, 6. teach them how to regulate their emotions, and 7. express emotions in healthy ways. At Counselors Associates Ltd we know that healthy living requires us to understand our emotions because they give us data about ourselves, our environment, and the people we interact with. Ultimately, emotions guide our lives and when we understand them, we understand ourselves and our world more effectively.
