Danielle Koeneman, MA
Danielle’s approach to therapy comes from her extensive training in counseling techniques and strategies. While her focus is helping all women, her personal experience with multiple pregnancy loss and the infertility journey has redirected her professional counseling ambitions to help others through similar experiences. Danielle believes each person has a unique pregnancy and infertility experience. It is helpful and therapeutic to develop a framework for understanding the biological, emotional and psychological impact of pregnancy loss and infertility. In addition to reproductive concerns, Danielle is passionate about helping all women faced with matters surrounding their mental wellbeing. She helps individuals develop the coping skills necessary to work through various mental health concerns, including the profound feelings surrounding pregnancy loss and infertility.
Danielle works with women to help them develop a positive sense of wellbeing. With regard to women experiencing infertility and pregnancy loss, she hopes to provide that population with a better understanding of the biology of reproduction, the causes and treatments surrounding infertility and early management of pregnancy. She helps clients explore the variety of feelings associated with their specific concerns – including those faced with an infertility diagnosis – and assists them in creating goals for coping with common problems that arise from their unique circumstances. Danielle assists clients in need of fulfilling their third-party donation counseling session. This is a specialized counseling service provided to individuals considering alternative options to build their family. Through a teamwork approach, Danielle’s clients learn more efficient ways of rebuilding connections, reducing stress, preparing for any necessary treatments and responding to any sort of significant loss.
Danielle has more than 10 years of experience in Biology Instruction at the secondary education level. She is currently completing her third year as a School Counseling Department Director and is working toward her certification as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
