Ashlynn believes in creating a positive therapeutic relationship with each of her clients that helps them work toward their individual goals and supports growth and progress along the way. Ashlynn believes in starting with a Person-Centered approach to therapy – to discover what makes each client unique and to build self-esteem and hope with unconditional support and empathy. From there, Ashlynn implements an eclectic approach to meet the needs of each client. Ashlynn utilizes play therapy and creative expression to help younger clients express themselves and address their needs according to their developmental stage in a safe and supportive environment. Ashlynn has also been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and uses it as a tool to help her clients process through trauma.
Ashlynn believes that physical health and mental health are deeply connected, and she specializes in supporting individuals who are experiencing physical illnesses or chronic medical conditions (including medical trauma) to address the impacts of these conditions on one’s mental health.
