Abby McBride, BA, MA, CCTP-A

Contact:
Troy North Office

Abby received her master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Northwestern University with a specialization in children and adolescents. Abby aims to cultivate a safe, inclusive, nonjudgmental, and trusting environment for all clients to feel heard. While she implements a wide range of therapeutic strategies, she prioritizes a mutually collaborative, culturally responsive approach grounded in a trauma-informed lens.

Abby has a strong background in communications and understands that every person has a unique story that deserves to be heard. Although her clinical emphasis is working with children and adolescents, Abby focuses on inner child work to help adults interrupt painful cycles, heal attachment wounds, and reach a place of acceptance. Abby welcomes all age ranges from all demographics and holds space for the complex intersections of identity and the impact of oppression, shame, and systematic marginalization in mental health.
