McKenna views counseling as a holistic way to learn about oneself that is collaborative with the client. She works within a safe and fun environment for children and their parents to learn and grow.
McKenna specializes in supporting children ages 4 and up with developing their social emotional intelligence, increasing healthy emotional regulation, and increasing pro social behavior. She has several years of experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related mental health concerns. Mckenna utilizes a combination of Adlerian play therapy techniques and cognitive behavioral approaches to adapt each therapeutic treatment plan to each child’s unique needs. McKenna also provides parents guidance and skills to utilize to assist the child with meeting their therapeutic goals and needs.
