Melia is a Board-Certified Music Therapist and counseling intern. She completed her undergraduate degree at Belmont University in 2020. Now she is working on her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grace College and will graduate in 2023.

She has experience working with children and adolescents in a variety of settings. She has worked with adults that struggle with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, and substance abuse. In addition, she has led several groups that focus on coping skills, relaxation, communication, and relationship building.

Melia utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy along with various mindfulness and expressive arts interventions. She believes in addressing the physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and creative aspects that make up the whole individual. She encourages her clients and helps them discover the strengths that they already possess in order to manage difficult emotions. Collaboration is a very big part of her therapy sessions, as clients are the true experts of their lives.
