Joyce creates a warm and peaceful environment to encourage clients to express themselves without fear of judgement. She takes the whole person into consideration and focuses on emotional, psychological, and physical well-being. Joyce believes therapy is not ‘one size fits all’ and therefore uses an integrative therapeutic approach to meet client’s individual needs. Therapy with Joyce is collaborative, and she values and encourages active client participation. She believes clients make lasting gains when they take a more active role in the therapeutic process. She is trauma informed and uses EMDR, CBT, ACT, EFT-tapping, attachment theory, faith based, and solution focused therapies to help clients overcome challenges. Joyce specializes in trauma/PTSD, stress management, self-esteem, relationship concerns, depression, anxiety, and grief.

Joyce has experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings and enjoys working with young adults, LGBTQ+, adults and older adults. She challenges clients to reimagine how their life could be and provides practical, evidence-based strategies so that they can. Joyce believes therapy is transformative and strives to empower clients to not only overcome life’s challenges but also to thrive in their overall well-being. Joyce offers ‘walk and talk’ and office-based sessions.
