Jaclyn Pickowitz (She/her), MS, LCPC
Jaclyn uses a myriad of approaches when it comes to counseling, as she recognizes that achieving personal and emotional growth is not a “one size fits all” experience. She strives to create an authentic relationship with each client, a place of hope, solace and retreat, where clients can find unconditional support, empowerment and solidarity.
Jaclyn’s inclination toward Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focuses on first identifying negative, maladaptive thought patterns in order to reframe, challenge, and recreate them, leading to more positive emotions and functional behaviors. Jaclyn views herself as merely a catalyst for change, recognizing her clients as the experts on their lives and goals. She also uses other techniques as necessary such as Client-Centered Therapy, Reality Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy to assist clients in reaching specific goals while focusing on their unique strengths and potential.
Jaclyn currently specializes in treating women from adolescence and beyond as they navigate life changes, improve relationships, open the door to self-exploration, and grow to know and cherish their ideal selves.
