Audrey Gonzalez, MS, LCPC
Shiloh Clinical Director
Audrey is the Clinical Director of Counselors Associates’ Shiloh office. Her philosophy is that each person is unique, thus may require different types of therapeutic interactions and approaches. She feels the therapist and client need to work together to address the client’s unique concern or situation. Change is difficult for most people, and Audrey is supportive, encouraging and non-judgmental of her clients.
Audrey works with children, adolescents and young adults. She utilizes an integrated therapeutic approach with her clients including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy and Client-Centered Therapy. Audrey has obtained specialized training in play therapy and drama and art therapy and is working toward her Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential. She incorporates these therapies in her sessions with younger clients.
Audrey believes in establishing a positive client alliance by empowering her clients to be an active part of their therapeutic treatment. She helps her clients establish goals, set their own counseling pace and manages progress and goals. She aims to create a safe space for every person she works with, including the family members of her younger clients. Audrey’s goal as a therapist is to help her clients implement positive lasting life changes in a comfortable welcoming environment.
