Amanda enjoys working with children, teens, adults and the elderly. She is passionate about setting her clients up for success and helping them reach their goals. She is especially devoted to assisting individuals dealing with grief and loss, as this is both a personal and professional passion of hers. Amanda counsels caregivers and loved ones coping with the end-of-life care of family members, and she closely follows the companioning model. Amanda has an integrative psychotherapy approach to her counseling. She addresses the needs of her clients through different techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and client-centered therapy. Amanda strives to help her clients focus on fostering individual growth to learn adaptive behaviors that allow them to function and thrive within their lifestyle and environment.

Prior to joining Counselors Associates Ltd., Amanda devoted fifteen years to being an educator of children with disabilities and behavior disorders, during which time she successfully created and implemented two separate behavior programs for students ranging from ages 8-21. She had the opportunity to work with a diverse population of at-risk students and worked closely with parents and guardians in this process.

Amanda offers guidance to clients without judgment, treating each individual and their circumstance without bias or preconceived notions. Her genuine belief in people and wanting each person to know their worth is important to her. Amanda strives to help her clients focus on achieving their personal goals.
